I have been married to my husband Jeff Henson for 11 years. We have a nine-year-old daughter, a six year-old-son, and have just recently added an eighteen-year-old son to our family. (When you read what I do, you will understand why.) I am a Social Worker For Humboldt County Child Welfare Services and an Independent Living Skills Coordinator. Our County is a leader in finding permanent connections and families for youth in the foster care system. To make a long story short, it is hard to talk the talk without walking the walk. What a perfect way to celebrate our class reunion... reflecting on our own struggles to find independence as we became legal adults...Share the wisdom and the love...adopt a teen/ young adult.
